Jamie is a professional singer, vocal coach, and conductor, trained at the Royal Academy of Music.
Believing that anyone can make brilliant music, his energetic and inclusive approach to choral leadership aims to get the best out of every individual.
A versatile workshop leader, Jamie delivers a wide range of workshops from opera to beatboxing for The Sixteen, Britten Sinfonia, National Youth Choirs, London Youth Choirs, Mahogany Opera, Pimlico Musical Foundation, and works regularly with Welsh National Opera and Spitalfields Music. He is also a Junior Artist in Residence for ARK schools and Musical Director of Billericay Choral Society.

As a choral singer Jamie has appeared at the BBC Proms, undertaken multiple tours with Britten Sinfonia Voices, and is a chorister and regular soloist in the Choir of the Chapels Royal, HM Tower of London. He was also a member of Gareth Malone’s Voices, undertaking a UK tour, televised performances at the National Eistedfodd of Wales and CD recordings. Although classically trained he works comfortably in many genres, including recently in multiple cross art-form collaborations with visual and electronic artists.
Jamie’s work for television includes Vocal Coach and Arranger on Gareth Malone’s The Naked Choir and Best in Britain for the BBC, helping a variety of a cappella groups prepare and polish their competition performances, singer for Crackanory on Dave, and film soundtrack recordings with the Eric Whitacre Singers.
Alongside his performing and workshop leading, Jamie is the director and co-founder of the app company Theoretical. Their app “Muso” helps musicians of any age practice and learn musical theory, and is currently being developed in schools and choirs round the UK.
On the odd occasion that Jamie is not making music, he can be usually be found behind a camera or cooking, usually with wine!
