Carla Jane

Vocalist and Choir Director

Carla Jane started her musical journey growing up in a Pentecostal church, where vibrant energetic singing was the norm. Singing in front of audiences from as young as five years of age developed a confidence and a unique style that has earned her a strong reputation.

Carla is an award winning vocalist and choir director, who facilitates workshops for gospel choirs and church vocal groups. This has given her the opportunity to travel to various countries across Europe.

For the last 9 years Carla has worked as a vocal coach and choir director across numerous schools in Manchester and Liverpool.  Her work provides opportunities to inspire adults and children to ‘Sing it like you mean it…’ a motto she uses to encourage individuals to sing out with passion and conviction, incorporating their personalities and life experiences to convey the message within a song, thereby impacting both the singer and the audience.

With television, radio and recording credits Carla has developed her own unique style and 2012 she was honoured to be invited to perform in the first ever BBC Gospel Prom held at the world renowned Royal Albert Hall, in London.  It was a historical event highlighting the journey of Gospel music whilst at the same time celebrating the thriving Gospel industry in the United Kingdom.  In 2018 she was again honoured to sing at the first national Windrush celebration service in Westminster Abbey in the presence of Prime minister, Teresa May.

Carla’s talents has been involved in events with leading Gospel music artists Mary Mary, USA,  Kirk Franklin, USA, London Community Gospel Choir, UK, Noel Robinson, UK, Heather Small, UK, Katherine Jenkins, UK, Israel Houghton, USA, Donald Lawrence, USA, The Walls group, USA and in 2017 and 2018 she had the honour of directing a choir for Donnie McClurkin, USA.  Carla currently serves as National Choir director for the New Testament Church of God, UK

Carla recognises the power of coming together and singing via the medium of a gospel choir, that it has the potential to be inspirational and even life changing and she welcomes any opportunity to be involved.
