It’s All About the Breath!
If we breathe well, we sing well! Joanna Tomlinson leads a vocal technique session, working on our alignment, vowels, tongue and jaw tension, and registration but most importantly on how to breathe well for singing.
It’s vital that singers of all genres learn to sing freely, without tension, so that long-term damage isn’t done to the voice and so that singers have the vocal stamina they need. We’ll be looking at how breath-flow and support, with a relaxed jaw and tongue, can help us with this free and healthy singing.
We’ll then be putting our newly pepped-up technique into practice by learning a new piece and applying everything we’ve learnt.
